Abstract

It is well known that Homotopy Analysis Method is one of the most efficient methods of obtaining analytical or approximate solution of both linear and nonlinear partial differential equation. A more general form of HAM is introduced in this work called q-HAM which gives more chances of convergence compare to the usual HAM due to the presence of fraction factor associated with the solution. An application of this method is given to Fingero-Imbibition phenomena in double phase flow through porous media. q-HAM is used to obtain the saturation of injected water. We obtain the graphical representation of solution using MATLAB R2007b and Microsoft Excel 2010 with different values of h and n testing the effect of large n. Comparison is made with the solution obtained in [10] using Adomian Decomposition Method when n = 1 including numerical values.
