Abstract

In cold spray technology micro size metallic particles are accelerated with the help of nozzle and air momentum. In this article micro size metallic particles are accelerated by momentum of ions. But the main condition of momentum transfer is that energy of plasma ions should not transfer to micro size metallic particles. This can be achieved when vacuum is maintained through-out the process.  The velocity of micro size metallic particles is calculated when density gradient is zero in plasma.
