Abstract

Today a wired LAN can offer users high bit rates to meet the requirements of band width consuming services like video conferences, streaming video etc. With this in mind a user of a WLAN will have high demands on the system and will not accept too much degradation in performance to achieve mobility and flexibility. The increased demands for mobility and flexibility in our daily life are demands that lead the development from wired LANs to wireless LANs (WLANs). Application requires a quality of service (QoS) and good quality transmission of data packet. So we are using a IEEE 802.11e access method called Enhanced Distributed Channel access method (EDCA),But EDCA not suitable for multi-hop network due to hidden station problem which arise collision in a network. . To solve the problem of and collision carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) technique are used with jamming signal.
