Abstract

The article titled "Satirical verses in the magazine" Molla Nasreddin "is devoted to the activity of the first satirical magazine in the 20s of the last century. The author notes that, in general, the old traditions of "Molla Nasreddin" continued, but the former essence and severity disappeared. Despite the fact that A. Nazmi, A. Razi, S. Mansour, A. Wahid, M. S. Ordubadi and others spoke at this stage in the journal and the tribune was the same, but the social order and the situation were different. To save the magazine its previous platform, new conditions were necessary.

Also in the article it is noted that after the return of J. Mammadguluzade in Baku in 1922 at the invitation of Nariman Narimanov and he took up the publication of the magazine "Molla Nasreddin". Thus, the journal continued its activity under new conditions. It is known that the Bolshevik government accepted criticism as a current capable of fundamentally changing the social formation and therefore allowed the publication of the magazine "Molla Nasreddin" with a humorous deviation and considerably narrowed its boundaries.
