Factors Affecting Prospective Students’ Decision for MBA Program at A Selected Public University in Bangkok, Thailand

Abstract

The major purpose of this present study was to examine the reasons prospective students used to pursue an MBA degree, and influential factors involved in the selection of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) MBA program of prospective students. Data were gathered from forty-six participants who were interested in studying an MBA program at RMUTP, Bangkok, Thailand through a survey questionnaire. Results demonstrated that the main reasons for choosing an MBA program at RMUTP was to get career advancement, and improve their knowledge and skills in business. For criteria used to select RMUTP MBA program, the program curriculum and duration were rated as the most criteria used by prospective students. This study provides benefits for RMUTP MBA program to use this analysis for program development and marketing.
