Research in higher education underscores the need to accommodate the diverse learning requirements of college-level students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Educational innovations which address these needs are often successfully implemented at the institutional level but they are rarely scaled in a way that facilitates widespread adoption. To accomplish the scale and sustainability necessary to establish a national platform for innovations in STEM education, we developed a STEM education business enterprise. Herein, we present two-year results and corresponding qualities of success associated with a STEM education start-up company.
Due to the dynamic nature of a business environment, entrepreneurship has been seen as one of the driving forces of an economy.Â Entrepreneurs tend to identify gaps/problemsin their economy, and look for the best way to solve the identified gaps thereby leading to growth, employment and profit making. Innovation and creativity can be seen as an aspect of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs are driven by innovation; identifying and creating something new. Â This article examines the role of creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship, theimportance of entrepreneurship, and role entrepreneurship plays in an organization
