Comparative study of Anthelmintic Activity of Different Extract of Catharanthus roseus

Abstract

The aim of present study was the evaluation of anthelmintic activity of Catharanthus Roseus extract in experimental adult earthworm’s Pheritima Posthuma. The leaves extract of Catharanthus Roseus show potent anthelmintic activity. As the concentration increases paralysis and death time decreases but as comparison to standard (piperazine) is more active than aqueous, methanol, ethyl acetate and ethanol extract of catharanthus roseus was found to be least active.
