Abstract

A convenient and efficient one pot sequence has been developed for transformation of alcohols to amine using sodium oxide and P-Tolune sulphonyl chloride with zinc and ferric chloride at mild conditions. Method developed for primary amine conversion is fast, good yield, cheap Using readily available chemicals and free from secondary and tertiary amine as impurity.
