Abstract

Exports of a country play an important role in the economic growth of the country. Export promotions programs are very important for exporting firms. A large number of export promotion schemes are available in India for the exporting firms. These programs have been increasing the export intensity of the exporting firms. The research is aimed at identifying significance of export promotion schemes in firm competencies. The present research attempts to study the exporter’s perception of the export promotion schemes in the Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR) and Haryana region especially five export manufacturing sectors comprising of Textile, Gems and Jewellery, Leather, Chemical and Engineering. Convenient sampling technique was used for data collection. The result suggests that, the EPS are highly significant in improving the export competencies of the export firms
