KOPANONG MUNICIPALITY’S LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT A CATALYST FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL REVIVAL IN A SHADOW OF POOR INCUBATION

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the challenges that are facing the small businesses in Kopanong which was once a hive of business activities but now a shadow of itself. The methodology used for the study is the combination of Qualitative and Quantitative research methods. Questionnaires were distributed around the nine towns of Kopanong Local Municipality and interviews were conducted on Government officials and employees at the incubators in Trompsburg and Bloemfontein.
