Resumen: Este estudio está orientado a analizar los riesgos asociados con las actividades técnicas de los profesionales mecánicos automotrices y las medidas preventivas de seguridad personal y de salud que ellos deben cumplir para reducir los accidentes de trabajo y enfermedades profesionales evitando poner en peligro la vida y salud. En esta investigación se abordan todas las variables involucradas en las labores más comunes que se llevan a cabo en los talleres mecánicos y el riesgo que estas presentan.
Para probar la validez de este estudio se realiza un estudio bibliográfico de las diferentes teorÃas de investigadores internacionales y profesionales de la rama automotriz. El objetivo especÃfico es identificar los riesgos de accidentes en las labores que se ejecutan en los talleres de reparación de vehÃculos y las medidas de prevención para cada caso. Los resultados de la investigación apuntan a reconocer los peligros relacionados con la profesión, familiarizarse con ellos y de este modo sensibilizar a la comunidad de profesionales automotrices, universidades y colegios técnicos a divulgar lo aprendido y finalmente intervenir con planes de acción preventiva y el mejoramiento de una forma temprana y efectiva de todas las medidas necesarias para evitar accidentes de trabajo que ponen en riesgo la salud y la vida.

This study is aimed to analyze the risks associated with the technical activities of automotive mechanical professionals and the preventive safety rules for personal and health safety that they must fulfill in order to reduce occupational accidents and diseases and not endanger their lives and health. This research addresses all the variables involved in the most common tasks that are carried out in the mechanical workshops and the risk they involve.
In order to prove the validity of this study, a bibliographic study of the different theories of international researchers and professionals of the automotive industry is carried out. The specific objective is to identify the risks of accidents in the tasks that are carried out in the repair shops of vehicles and the prevention rules for each case.
The results of the research aim to recognize the dangers related to the profession, also become familiar with them and in this way sensitize the community of automotive professionals, universities and technical colleges to divulge what they have learned and finally intervene with preventive action plans and the improvement of an early and effective way of all the necessary rules to avoid work accidents that put health and life at risk.
