Research in higher education underscores the need to accommodate the diverse learning requirements of college-level students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Educational innovations which address these needs are often successfully implemented at the institutional level but they are rarely scaled in a way that facilitates widespread adoption. Herein, we present two-year results and corresponding qualities of success associated with a STEM education start-up company.
