This research attempts to contribute to organizational theory by exploring the impact of culture on the success of a multinational organization. While the literature review produced five cultural attributes, the study produced seven attributes that emerged from a case using a multinational organization with a global supply chain. These seven attributes are discussed in the context of the presence of synergy and interdependency within the organization. The study concludes in tactical detail that the culture in a global organization can be enabled by synergistic opportunities and business unit interdependency.
As Information Technology is vital in banking today, it becomes imperative for banks as well as other organizations to realize its impact on human resource management in order to justify capital investments. The objective of this work is to examine how the adoption of Information Technology affects the human resource functions in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, competitiveness, customer base and globalization of the bank. The research methodology involved reviewing how the use of Information Technology tools help in carrying out human resource management functions in a bank. The design and simulation results of work revealed that the use of Information Technology led to increase customer satisfaction, improved operational efficiency, reduced transaction time, better competitive edge, reduced the running cost and ushered in swift response in service delivery.
McDonald’s Businesses sustain as a bench mark with its worth in all over the world from last couple of decades. This study provides the renowned able innovation strategies of McDonald’s businesses from historical perspective, which boost the McDonald’s corporation on current global peak. This study also emphasizes the light on brand extension strategy of McDonald’s business and its risk assessment and mitigation on whole business. Furthermore, it also highlights the national and global advertising strategies of McDonald’s business and its impact on different business models used by McDonald’s in local, regional, and national level. However, marketing effort and brand repositioning has significant impact on overall turnover of McDonald’s corporation. While, franchising models in different regions and states also have a significant impact for promotion of McDonald’s business in entire globe.
This study examined both the long-run and short-run effect of Western Financial Institutions loan conditions on Rwanda economy via International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 1986 to 2016. Many scholars have questioned the benefits of those conditions to the beneficial economies. The objectives of this study were to analyse the effect of IMF conditionality of currency devaluation, reduction of government expenditure and trade liberalization on Goss Domestic Product (GDP), Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) and National Savings (NS) of Rwanda. The researcher made use of secondary data sourced from the data bank of World Bank. The formulated hypotheses were tested using Ordinary Least Square method and Granger causality test. The result revealed all the indices of IMF conditionality have significant effect on selected macro-economic variables of Rwanda. These effects are Negative with GDP GFCF but positive with NS. The researcher advocates for domestically friendly economic policies such as the use of protectionism and fiscal policy that will serve better than externally imposed economic policies that may create other economic problems to the nations that adopted them.
