In this continuously changing Modern economy, Organizations have to be able
to expert technological innovations and to compete with other organizations
worldwide. This need makes Mandatory a company’s ability to Develop
Gradually through its employees learning and through continuous
development. Retaining & Securing skilled employees plays a major role in this
process, because employees Skills & Knowledge are central to organizations
ability to be economically competitive. As employee retention is very important
for the competitiveness & Functioning of an Organization, this study focuses on
the Perception of the employees that influence employee retention. A special
interest is taken in employees Appreciation & Stimulation, Leadership of
employees, Pressure of work & learning attitudes of employees, as these are seen
as a retention supporting activities. A questionnaire was administered to 341
employees, and were analyzed. The questionnaires are used to explain &
contextualize the quantitative results. The results show a huge positive
stimulation & contribution of appreciation from the employees towards
employee retention. However, the Appreciation and stimulation of employees
through employee benefits offer new possibilities in attempting to enhance
employee retention. This study also showed that the individual perceptions
influence employee retention. Leadership skills and Learning attitudes have a
less relationship with employee retention when compared to the level of
readiness and initiative regarding the pressure of work. KEYWORDS: Hospital,
