Abstract

“Leadership is replete with multi Pyramid reams of  research theories and multifarious definitions. There are as many Different definitions  of leadership as there persons who have attempted to define the concept. The lack of generally accepted definitions led to a mushrooming growth of contingency models, path goal and open system models, transactional and vertical dyad approaches. Frustrated writers, after reviewing 3000 or so studies, feel that the concept has outlived its usefulness and must be abandoned in favour  of some other more fruitful way of cutting up the theoretical pie.*1
